Tokyo is often referred to as a city but is officially known and governed as a "metropolitan prefecture", which differs from and combines elements of a city and a prefecture, a characteristic unique to Tokyo.

Tokyo is the best place to visit especially in the month of May to July. 

The focused attraction of Tokyo's Marunouchi district is the Imperial Palace known for its beautiful 17th-century parks guarded by walls and moats and which is still in use by the Imperial family.
